Precursor of Danapha Pharmaceutical Corporation is Middle Central Region Pharmaceutical Workshop, founded and developed in the Base 5 in the resistance against US army.

- In the end of 1959, the local committee of Base 5 had a small storage of medicine moved from the North, located in Tac Chum village,Tra Mai commune, Tra My district (now known as Nam Tra My, Quang Nam Province) .

- April 1965: Board of Health of Base 5 decided to set up Central Zone Pharmaceutical Workshop K.25; (Glass Workshcodenamed op of Base 5 - codename is K.35, was also established during this time)
- 1969 - 1972: K.25 and K.35 were merged as a pharmaceutical factory named Middle Central Region Pharmaceutical Workshop codenamed K.60.

- 1967: Board of Health decided to establish pharmaceutical workshop in Quang Nam and Quang Da.

- 1976: Pharmaceutical Factory in Quang Nam Da Nang was established on the basis of merging three units: K.25, pharmaceutical worshop in Quang Nam and Quang Da.

- 1980: Pharmaceutical Factory in Quang Nam - Da Nang was merged with QNDN herbal pharmaceutical company.

- December 1981: QNDN People Committee had decided to establish QNDN Joint Venture Pharmaceutical Factory on the basis of merging two divisions: QNDN Pharmaceutical Factory and QNDN Pharmaceutical Company

- 1987: QNDN herbal medicin research station is merged into QNDN Joint Venture Pharmaceutical Factory.

- October 1992: QNDN People Committee decided to separate the mass-production and circulation of the combined enterprise to establish two divisions: Da Nang Pharmaceutical Factory (now is DANAPHA) and Quang Nam Pharmaceutical Company - Da Nang (now is Da Nang Pharmaceuticals & Medical Equipment JSC, DAPHARCO)

- 1996: Da Nang Pharmaceutical Factory was accepted as a member of the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Corporation by the Ministry of Health and changed its name to the Da Nang Central Pharmaceutical Company No. 5

- October 2006, by the approvement of  Department of Health and Viet Nam Pharmaceutical Corporation,  a Nang Central Pharmaceutical Company No. 5 conducted equitization and established Danapha Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

- January 1st 2007: Danapha Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company put into operation under new ownership: joint stock companies.

-  August 23rd 2009: Danapha began construction of nano-liposome technology factory, GMP-WHO Herbal Medicine Factory (the 2nd factory of Danapha) and Center of Reseach and Development. 

- October 5th 2009: Established Danapha Pharmaceutical Corporation - Nanosome (DANOSOME)

- November 6th 2010: Danapha inaugurated the GMP-WHO Herbal Medicine Factory
